Paideia Academy is a non-profit Montessori daycare and preschool center located in downtown Seattle. The center was founded in 1986 to promote the belief that early quality instruction provides the foundation of a happy, healthy and responsible adult.





Paidiea Academy currently has an enrollment of approximately 80 children, from two months to six years of age. Teachers and students come from countries including the United States, Russia, Ethiopia, India, Albania, Sri Lanka, and Europe. Ethnicities include Caucasian, African American, Asian, Hispanic and Native American.

Curriculum in the infant classes focuses on development of gross and fine motor skills, social and verbal skills, and music. Toddler and preschool classrooms study language, the arts, mathematics, science, geography and nature, social awareness, as well as sensorial and practical life skills.
